Muzdalifah Government Complex

Project Overview

Every year, Muzdalifah hosts millions of pilgrims during Hajj. The government complex there houses the ministries and authorities that run Hajj services. It is a campus of 78 administrative buildings, warehouses and utilities, built for the Ministry of Finance. Al Mespar carried out all engineering, supply, testing and commissioning of the BMS and low current systems across the complex’s buildings, and the systems remain under Al Mespar’s maintenance scope.

Building Management Systems (BMS)

A building management system monitors and controls a building’s mechanical and electrical services (HVAC, chillers, pumps, lighting and power) from one central platform. It keeps occupants comfortable and cuts energy use.

Our scope on this project:
The challenge

The complex must be fully ready for the Hajj season every year, with systems spread across 78 buildings.

Our solution

Al Mespar standardised equipment and documentation across buildings, so systems are consistent to operate and quick to maintain before each Hajj season.

The outcome

The authorities serving Hajj work from a centrally monitored complex, and Al Mespar continues to maintain its systems.
